Electronic signatures for DJ booking forms

Getting your booking forms signed is important to protect you and your clients. Traditionally booking forms would be printed off and posted to allow clients to sign the forms on pen and paper, maybe you've even used fax to send out forms?

With advances in digital technology and new legislation, it can be even easier for you and your clients to sign the booking forms.

Once you've setup all the details for each booking, DJ Admin allows you to send a link to your client for them to sign the agreement digitally.

The legalities for electronic signatures

The good news is that the law allows booking forms to be digitally signed.

Electronic signatures were first introduced in the Electronic Communications Act (ECA 2000). The EU introduced legislation (eIDAS) for electronic signatures and upon the UK's exit from the EU most of the legislation was transferred to UK law (UK eIDAS). Combined with case law these have demonstrated that an electronic signature, such as an "I Accept" button, are legally binding.

Adobe have published a handy guide on the legality of electronic signations.
