Let your clients choose the soundtrack

The music is the heart of any event. DJ Admin gives your clients — and their guests — an easy way to submit song requests online before the night, so you arrive fully prepared and they feel genuinely involved in planning their event.

The music requests portal is an optional addon. See addon pricing →

Setting up the request portal

For each booking, you can switch the music request portal on or off independently. Once on, your client gets login details sent directly from the booking record — one click, and the email is sent with everything they need. You set a password for guests to use and a separate admin password for your client, giving them control to manage and organise the requests that come in.

You can also set a closing date for requests so the portal automatically stops accepting new submissions ahead of the event, giving you time to prepare.

What clients and guests can do

Once logged in, clients and guests can search for and submit songs they'd like to hear. Requests sit in a list that the client can manage — reordering, categorising, and removing anything they've changed their mind about.

If you'd prefer guests not to see the special moment categories — first dance, ceremony music, and so on — you can enable secret mode. Guests using the portal will only see the general request pool; your client retains full visibility of everything. It keeps those meaningful choices between you and the couple until the night.

Wedding mode

Switch on wedding mode for wedding bookings and the portal gains a full set of dedicated categories covering every key moment of the day:

  • First dance
  • Second dance
  • Third dance
  • Last dance
  • Ceremony music
  • Throwing of the bouquet
  • Garter toss

Each category keeps those important songs clearly separated from the general requests, so nothing gets mixed up and you can plan the flow of the evening with confidence.

Missing songs — your music checklist

On your side, every song requested is checked against your existing music library. Your music library is a single master list that works across all bookings — so once a track is confirmed as owned, it's recognised as available for any future event too.

Any tracks you don't yet own are flagged in the missing songs list so you know exactly what needs sourcing before the gig. From the missing songs screen you can confirm a track once you've obtained it, mark it as still needed, rename it if the request came in with a typo, or swap it to a matching track you already hold. Duplicates in the library are flagged too so you can keep your song database clean.

Song list reports

The guest request reports give you a full view across requests — searchable and filterable so you can pull up the list for any event, check what's been requested, and use it as a reference when planning your set.

Music preferences

Alongside the request portal, each booking stores freeform music preferences — general notes about the vibe, genres or artists the client loves, and anything they'd rather not hear. It's a quick reference that lives on the booking record and travels with you to every gig.

Serato & Virtual DJ tracklist converter

After the event, paste your Serato or Virtual DJ tracklist directly into DJ Admin and it converts it into two ready-to-use formats: a clean plain-text tracklist and a website-ready version formatted as an HTML list, ready to drop straight into a blog post or website update. One paste, two outputs, no reformatting.
